Join Padmaja Kochera (Paddy) at The Food Hub for a hands-on day exploring the vibrant flavours, spices and dishes of authentic Indian home cooking.
Paddy is a chef, food writer and passionate home cook whose love of Indian food began in childhood. Her cooking is simple, authentic and packed with flavour, combining traditional recipes and techniques with her own creative approach.
In 2008, Paddy was a winner on the BBC Two programme Step Up to the Plate, where talented cooks were challenged alongside professional chefs Paul Rankin and John Burton Race.
About the Course
Discover the incredible variety of Indian cooking and learn how to recreate authentic flavours in your own kitchen.
Throughout the day, Paddy will introduce you to the spices and ingredients at the heart of Indian cuisine, showing you how to combine, toast and balance them to create depth and flavour. Cooking alongside Paddy, you'll prepare a selection of dishes from scratch while picking up plenty of practical tips, techniques and ideas to take home with you.
