Join us at The Food Hub for a hands-on day exploring the techniques behind classic French patisserie.
Perfect for keen bakers looking to build their confidence and develop new skills, this course will introduce you to some of the essential elements of patisserie, from delicate pastry and rich frangipane to light choux pastry and silky crème pâtissière.
About the Course
Working alongside your chef, you’ll learn how to create a selection of elegant French-inspired pastries and desserts from scratch, with plenty of guidance on technique, preparation and presentation.
You’ll explore how to make and handle different pastries, achieve the right textures and finishes, and bring together flavours and components to create beautifully presented bakes.
Throughout the day, you’ll pick up practical tips and techniques that can be used across a wide range of baking and patisserie recipes, giving you the confidence to recreate them at home.

The course will run from 10.00am until 3.00pm and includes practical and demonstration cookery sessions, lunch and refreshments. All the ingredients, equipment and recipes for the day will be provided.
