Discover the bold flavours, fragrant spices and generous dishes of Middle Eastern cooking on this hands-on day at the Food Hub Cookery School.

You’ll explore ingredients such as za’atar, sumac, tahini, harissa and pomegranate molasses while learning how to use them with confidence at home. Guided by our experienced chef, you’ll prepare a selection of colourful dishes that balance spice, freshness, sweetness and acidity.

The day combines practical cooking with demonstrations, giving you plenty of opportunity to learn new techniques, discover unfamiliar ingredients and build a repertoire of dishes perfect for sharing with friends and family.

Recipes may include:

  • Falafel with Green Tahini Sauce

  • Muhammara with Flatbread

  • Baharat-Spiced Chicken

  • Sticky Pomegranate Salmon with Buckwheat & Barberry Salad

  • Mixed Nut & Honey Baklava

Suitable for both beginners and confident home cooks, this is a relaxed and flavour-packed day designed to introduce you to some of the ingredients and techniques at the heart of Middle Eastern cooking.

The course includes all ingredients and equipment, recipe notes, refreshments throughout the day and a delicious lunch featuring the dishes prepared during the course.
