Cookery Club: Pasta

Times: 6pm - 8pm | Chef: Anya Holmes

Join us at The Food Hub for a hands-on evening learning the art of fresh pasta making and bringing a taste of Italy to Suffolk.

There’s something particularly satisfying about making pasta from scratch, and once you’ve mastered the basic dough, you’ll have the skills to create a huge variety of shapes and dishes at home.

About the Course

This relaxed, practical course will take you through the essential techniques for making fresh pasta completely from scratch.

You’ll learn how to make and knead pasta dough, roll it to the correct thickness and shape it into different styles. We’ll explore both ribbon pasta, such as tagliatelle and linguine, and filled pasta, including ravioli and tortellini.

Your chef will also demonstrate how to cook fresh pasta perfectly and pair it with a classic Italian sauce, before you sit down to enjoy what you’ve made.

On this course you will learn:

  • How to make fresh pasta dough from scratch

  • Kneading, resting and rolling pasta

  • Making ribbon pasta such as tagliatelle and linguine
