Join Yui Miles at The Food Hub for a hands-on day discovering the fresh, vibrant flavours of authentic Thai cooking. Yui grew up in a Thai family where cooking and eating together were at the heart of family life. From an early age, she helped her parents prepare traditional Thai and Chinese-inspired dishes, developing a lifelong passion for the flavours and techniques of Asian cuisine.
Yui went on to showcase her cooking on BBC’s MasterChef UK 2019, reaching the quarter-finals, before winning the Inspiring Culinary Generations National Cookery Competition in 2020. She has also appeared on Channel 4’s Beat the Chef, where she took on the professional chef with her Thai cooking – and won!
About the Course
This relaxed, hands-on course is all about giving you the skills and confidence to recreate authentic Thai food in your own kitchen.
Working alongside Yui, you’ll discover how to balance the sweet, sour, salty and spicy flavours that are fundamental to Thai cooking. You’ll learn how to use classic Thai ingredients, prepare dishes from scratch and pick up plenty of Yui’s tips and techniques along the way.
Most importantly, the recipes are designed to be achievable at home, using ingredients that are readily available from local shops and supermarkets.

Massaman Curry with Chicken
Crying Tiger Steak with Spicy Dipping Sauce
The course will run from 10.00am until 3.00pm and includes practical and demonstration cookery sessions, lunch and refreshments. All the ingredients, equipment and recipes for the day will be provided.
